Tiong Nam is under Free Tax Zone at Pelabuhan Tanjung
Pelepas (PTP). Now, PTP is growing rapidly. So, Tiong Nam will generate more
space to build more warehouses in PTP. The aim is to attract more customers
from Singapore.
Tiong Nam do not build warehouse in Singapore because
the land in Singapore is very expensive and limited. If Tiong Nam rents
warehouse in Singapore, the rent cost will be very expensive rather than
Malaysia. That is why Tiong Nam plan to build more warehouses at PTP because
they could save from building and land cost.
The products in Tiong Nam warehouses at PTP are 90% from
Singapore customers. Tiong Nam also focuses on customer import and export
service to get high volume of products in their warehouses. PTP wants to be like Singapore which is Singapore
is the best port of logistics because many vessels will stop at Port Singapore
Authority (PSA ) to repair vessel
and etcetera. That is why Singapore becomes the great port in logistics.
